Paint correction — the process of removing swirl marks, scratches, and oxidation with a machine polisher — is coming to Premier Detailing LLC in late 2026. Currently offering decontamination and ceramic sealant.
Book Online NowPaint correction is the process of using a machine polisher with abrasive compounds to remove clear coat defects: swirl marks left by incorrect washing technique, buffer trails from previous polish jobs, light scratches, water spot etching, and oxidation haze. The result is paint clarity that looks like the vehicle just came from the factory.
Premier Detailing LLC is adding paint correction to our Johnson County service menu in late 2026. We are currently in active training — Joe Young is practicing correction work on a personal vehicle with Meguiar's Ultimate Compound and Polish using a dual-action polisher and Lake Country correction pads before offering it commercially on customer vehicles.
Iron decon + clay bar + ceramic sealant. Best current option.
Single-stage machine polish + ceramic sealant.
Multi-stage correction + professional ceramic coating.
Machine polishing removes clear coat — the transparent protective layer over your vehicle's color coat. Removing the right amount to eliminate defects without burning through the clear coat requires training, the right pad and compound combinations, and controlled technique. Inexperienced machine polishing can cause more damage than it fixes.
Premier Detailing LLC will not offer paint correction commercially until the results are proven on personal vehicles first. When we launch in Johnson County in 2026, we will have the skills and equipment to deliver correction results that are worth the investment. Paint correction (machine polishing to remove swirl marks, scratches, and oxidation) is coming to Premier Detailing LLC in late 2026. We are currently offering iron decontamination and clay bar as paint prep steps in our Full Premier Detail. To join the paint correction waitlist, email premierdetailing.k@gmail.com.
Paint correction uses a machine polisher with cutting and polishing compounds to remove clear coat defects: swirl marks from improper washing, buffer trails, light scratches, water spot etching, and UV oxidation. If your paint looks dull under bright light or has visible swirl marks, paint correction will restore clarity. Most vehicles 3+ years old benefit from some level of correction.
We are currently training with Meguiar's Ultimate Compound and Meguiar's Ultimate Polish on Lake Country orange and white pads with a Harbor Freight dual-action polisher. These are professional-grade products used by detailers nationwide. Our launch package in 2026 will use these tools and compounds on customer vehicles.
Currently, our Full Premier Detail ($325 sedan/$375 SUV) includes iron decontamination (removes brake dust and industrial fallout), clay bar (removes bonded surface contaminants), and P&S Bead Maker ceramic sealant. These steps dramatically improve paint appearance but do not correct existing swirl marks or deep scratches — that requires machine polishing, coming in 2026.
