I use a combination of a Lily Brush pet hair removal tool, compressed air blowouts, the commercial-grade steam cleaner, and the a commercial shop vac in sequence to pull embedded hair out without tearing fabric. - Initial vacuum, Clear loose material first so I can see what is embedded
- Lily Brush agitation, The Lily Brush pulls embedded hair to the surface by working against the fabric grain. This is the most effective manual tool available for this type of contamination.
- Compressed air blowout, Loosened hair blown toward the center of the vehicle for extraction
- Full vacuum extraction, Second full vacuum pass after agitation removes the majority of pulled hair
- Steam treatment, 212-degree steam relaxes remaining embedded fibers and kills the bacteria and odors associated with pet contamination
- Final shop vac pass, Extraction pass post-steam to collect released hair and pull moisture from fabric
- Repeat as needed on high-density areas, Third-row seating in SUVs often requires multiple agitation cycles
