Driveway is best. Apartment complex parking lot also works.

Step 2: Empty personal items

Remove valuables from console, glove box, trunk. Joe is trustworthy but it's easier to clean an empty car.

Step 3: Tell Joe about issues

Pet hair, smoke, food spills, let him know upfront so he can quote accurately and bring the right tools.

What to Do Before I Arrive

Preparation on your end takes about five minutes and makes the detail more efficient, which means more time on cleaning rather than on logistics once I arrive. Here is the full list:.

Remove personal items from the vehicle, Take out anything you do not want moved: sunglasses, charging cables, loose change, documents, child car seats if possible, anything in the center console or door pockets that you want to keep organized your way. I will move items to work and replace them, but the easiest path is clear surfaces.
Confirm a clear parking spot I bring everything I need to complete your detail.
Park in a covered or shaded area if possible, For exterior work, shade is ideal. Direct Kansas summer sun on paint above 130 degrees makes iron decon and sealant application more difficult to control. If a garage or shaded driveway is available, park there.
Leave the vehicle unlocked, Or be present when I arrive to unlock it. I will not wait for a locked vehicle with product loaded and ready.
Leave windows closed, Closed windows until I start the interior process. This prevents outside dust from settling on surfaces I have already started cleaning.

What You Do NOT Need to Do

Pre-clean or vacuum the vehicle, that is my job. Do not try to prep the interior before I arrive.
Wash the car first, this is counterproductive if I am performing iron decon and clay bar, because I will be washing it correctly as part of the process anyway.
Be home during the detail, most customers go about their day. I text when I arrive and when I am done. You do not need to supervise.
Provide any supplies, I bring everything. Chemicals, equipment, microfibers, hoses, power. Your only contribution is the water connection.
