Why Premier Detailing Uses Rinseless Wash vs Traditional Hose Wash
P&S Rinseless requires <2 gallons of water and provides better lubricity than traditional hose wash. Premier Detailing chose it for performance + environmental + neighbor-friendly reasons.
What rinseless wash actually is, and how it works on paint
P&S Rinseless Wash is a polymer-based cleaning solution diluted in a small amount of water, typically less than two gallons for an entire vehicle, and applied to painted surfaces with a clean Ultra Soft sponge. The polymer formula encapsulates dirt particles and lifts them away from the paint surface, providing lubrication that prevents the encapsulated particles from dragging across the clear coat during the wash pass.
Why rinseless outperforms traditional hose wash on paint safety
Traditional hose washing relies on water pressure to help float dirt off the surface. Grit that is not fully emulsified in the soap can drag across the clear coat as the wash mitt passes over it, creating micro-scratches.
Water use: the practical numbers for residential driveway service
A traditional bucket wash using a garden hose uses 20 to 50 gallons of water depending on how long the hose runs during rinsing. A pressure washer rinse cycle adds additional volume.
Where traditional wash still has a role: wheel cleaning
Wheel cleaning is the one area where rinseless wash alone is not the complete answer. Dark Fury iron decontamination spray is applied to all four wheels and allowed to dwell, the chemical reacts with oxidized iron brake dust and changes color from clear to purple as it chelates the iron particles.
