Paint sealant cure
paint sealant is touch-dry in minutes. Full cure happens over 12-24 hours of driving.
Interior
212F steam dries fast. By the time Joe is done, surfaces are dry.
Best practice
Avoid washing or rain for 24 hours after a Full Premier Detail to let sealant fully cure.

How Long to Wait After Each Service Before Driving
The wait time depends on which services were performed. Here are the accurate wait windows for each component of a Premier Detailing service:.
- Interior Reset, no wait required. The steam cleaning process uses heat that evaporates moisture within 20 to 30 minutes of completion. By the time the full interior is done and I have packed up, the cabin is dry. You can drive immediately.
- Exterior hand wash, no wait required. Rinseless wash panels are dried immediately during the wash process. There is no standing water or flash-cure product applied.
- a paint sealant, wait 2 to 4 hours minimum, ideally 8 hours before washing. The sealant needs time to cure and bond to the paint surface. Driving is fine immediately after application. Washing should be avoided for 8 to 12 hours to allow the ceramic polymers to fully cross-link.
- Engine bay cleaning, no wait required for driving. The bay is dried and dressed before I finish. The engine can be started within minutes of completion.
What to Avoid in the 24 Hours After a Full Premier Detail
- Car wash (any type), avoid for 24 hours. This allows the paint sealant to reach full cure strength before the surface sees water or friction.
- Rain is acceptable. Rain on a fresh paint sealant will not damage it. The sealant cures from the bottom up (bonding to paint), not from the top down. Rain contact will not prevent curing.
- Parking under trees, avoid for 24 hours if possible. Tree sap landing on a fresh sealant before it has fully cured can bond more aggressively than it would to a fully cured surface.
- Eating or drinking in the freshly steam-cleaned interior, Fine if you need to. I recommend waiting an hour for the steam moisture to fully dissipate before normal use, but there is no chemical restriction.
The Short Answer for Johnson County Drivers
You can drive the vehicle immediately after I finish. The main restriction is washing, avoid any wash for 24 hours after a full detail that includes paint sealant.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is mobile car detailing?
Mobile car detailing means the detailer brings all equipment to your location, your home, office, or anywhere your vehicle is parked. You do not need to drive to a shop or arrange transportation.
Is mobile car detailing as good as a shop detail?
Mobile detailing from Premier Detailing uses the same professional-grade equipment and products as any fixed-location shop, and in many cases delivers better results because each vehicle receives dedicated one-on-one attention rather than a production-line process.
Do I need to prepare anything for a mobile detail?
Nothing special is needed from you. I come to you with the professional equipment, supplies, and products to complete your detail, and I confirm parking when you book.
