We pulled the published prices from 24 detailing businesses across Johnson County and Kansas City on September 9, 2026, and put every number on one page — including ours. No estimates, no "starting at" tricks hidden. Every figure links to the page it came from.

Base or sedan tier where a tier exists. "From" means the business lists it as a starting price. Blank means the business doesn't publish that service. Prices copied verbatim from each business's own website on September 9, 2026; they can change any day, so check the linked page before you book anyone — including us.

Read: Kansas City's full-detail median sits in the middle of the national range. KC interior work runs above the national midpoint; KC exterior-only work runs at the bottom of every national range — which usually means it's a wash and a spray wax, not a decontamination and a durable sealant.
The $129 full detail and the $600 full detail on this page are not the same job. One is a wash, vacuum and wipe-down. The other is a decontamination, machine-applied protection and a steam-cleaned interior. Ask what's actually in the package — specifically whether the paint is clayed, what protection goes on and how long it's rated to last, and whether the interior gets steam or just a vacuum and a spray.
Five of the twelve shops only publish "from" prices. The number you pay depends on vehicle size and condition, and you find out after the quote. If a shop won't put a real number on a sedan, budget 30–50% above the "from" figure.
A Tahoe takes almost twice as long as a Civic. Shops that don't publish size tiers either charge everyone the sedan price (and cut corners on the SUV) or surprise you with the upcharge on site. We publish three tiers because the work is different.
Mobile detailers on this page range from $100 to $395 for a full detail; shop-based ones from $129 to $600. Location doesn't set the price — the process does.
Our Full Premier Detail is $350 on a sedan — $36 above the KC median. Here's what that buys that a median-priced detail usually doesn't: a Koch-Chemie Multi Star pre-wash with dwell time before anything touches the paint, a pH-neutral foam contact wash, wheels and tires done first with dedicated acid and rubber cleaners, Koch-Chemie Protector Wax on paint, glass, trim and tires, and an interior done with an air compressor blow-out, a McCulloch steamer and P&S Xpress / Koch-Chemie MZR chemistry — not a vacuum and a shine spray. The Premier Signature ($500) adds a full clay-mitt decontamination on every panel before the wax. Every add-on is a flat $95, published, no surprises. All prices on our pricing page, and you can tap your exact price by vehicle size in ten seconds.
Between $129 and $600 for a sedan among shops that publish prices, with a median of $314 as of September 2026. Larger vehicles typically add $50–$150 per tier.
Published interior-only prices run $99–$300 for a sedan; the median is $223. Steam-cleaned, fully extracted interiors sit at the upper half of that range.
Entry packages start at $400 and run to $1,495; the median entry price is $1,025. Multi-year professional coatings with paint correction run $1,500–$2,500 on most vehicles and up to $4,900 on large SUVs at the top tier.
Nine of the 21 KC shops we could reach publish no prices at all. Usually it's so they can quote by vehicle and condition on the spot. It also means you can't compare before you call. We publish everything, including this survey.
Prices were captured September 9, 2026. We plan to re-survey twice a year. If you run a KC detailing business and your published price has changed, email us the page and we'll update it.
Yes — please do. Link to this page and credit Premier Detailing LLC. The methodology is above; every number is traceable to the source page.
On September 9, 2026 we searched for car detailing businesses serving Johnson County, KS and the Kansas City metro and opened each business's own website. We recorded only prices printed on the page — no phone quotes, no third-party listings, no estimates. Where a business lists vehicle-size tiers, the table shows the range and the medians use the sedan/base tier. Where a business only lists a "from" price, that floor is used. Businesses whose sites were unreachable that day are named but not counted. Medians are computed over the shops that publish that service. Premier Detailing LLC is shown in the table for transparency and is included in no median. Errors: email us and we'll correct the row and note the change here.
All services are mobile. I come to your home, office, or wherever the car is parked in Johnson County.
