It is not a vacuum-and-wipe. Every Interior Reset starts with an industrial vacuum and a compressor blow-out through every vent and crevice, then chemistry matched to each surface, then 212°F McCulloch steam to lift what the chemistry loosened. Same order, every car.

If you want the exterior pre-washed, foam washed and protected with Koch-Chemie Protector Wax at the same visit, that is the Full Premier Detail. If you also want iron decontamination and a clay bar on the paint, that is The Premier Signature ($500 sedan / $575 SUV).

What Is Included, Step by Step

Every Interior Reset follows the same 10-step process, in the same order, every time. Each step clears the way for the next one.

1. Remove floor mats and pre-treatMats come out and get their own cleaner and dwell time while the rest of the interior is prepped. Mats hold the worst of the salt and mud and need longer than the carpet.
2. Industrial vacuumFull pass across seats, carpets and trunk to pull loose grit before any cleaner goes on. Chemistry on top of loose sand just binds it deeper into the fibers.
3. California-style compressor blow-outCompressed air drives grit, crumbs and dust out of every vent, speaker grille, seat rail, seam, cup holder drain and crevice. A vacuum pulls from above and misses what is packed in. Air pushes it out.
4. Second vacuumCollects everything the compressed air pushed out of hiding. This is the pass that actually empties the interior.
5. Chemistry matched to the surfaceP&S Xpress Interior Cleaner and Koch-Chemie MZR on plastics, vinyl, leather and screens. Koch-Chemie Multi Star, a high-pH professional-only cleaner, only when a surface is filthy enough to need the strongest safe option. Behind those sits a full kit of degreasers, solvents, acidic, pH-neutral and alkaline cleaners, each picked for the exact contamination instead of one all-purpose spray.
6. Crevice picks and detailing brushesSeams, stitching, cup holders, vent slats and trim gaps get worked by hand. A towel glides over a seam. A pick lifts the grime out of it.
7. Carpet extractionCarpet and cloth seats are cleaned and extracted until what comes back out runs clean. This pulls dirt and old spills out of the padding instead of hiding them under a fresh surface. Carpets are left damp, not wet, and dry within 30 to 45 minutes.
8. McCulloch steam on every surface212°F steam across door panels, dash, console, cup holders, seats and seams, trunk first and working forward. Steam lifts what the cleaner loosened out of the grain of the plastic and sanitizes the surfaces you touch, without soaking anything. Door jambs and sills get the same treatment.
9. Wipe and protectAll hard surfaces wiped with fresh premium microfiber and treated with an interior protectant that leaves a natural, non-greasy finish. Fresh towels at every stage, so nothing dirty gets dragged back across a clean panel.

Why 212°F Steam, and Why It Matters

Most interior cleaning at car washes and quick-detail shops is a wipe-down with an all-purpose cleaner. That removes surface dirt.

I use the McCulloch steamer (MC1385), which produces steam at 212°F, and I use it after the chemistry has done its work. At that temperature, steam does three things no wipe-down can:

• Penetrates fiber structure. Steam reaches into carpet pile and seat seams and loosens bonded contamination that a vacuum alone cannot extract, without soaking the material.
• Kills odor-causing bacteria. The heat at 212°F eliminates the bacterial colonies in fabric and seams that produce persistent interior odor, no chemical masking required.
• Lifts what the cleaner loosened. The dash, door panels, and center console accumulate oil transfer from hands and airborne grease. Xpress Interior or MZR breaks that film down, and steam flashes it off the grain of the plastic so it wipes clean instead of smearing.

The difference is visible and, more importantly, it lasts. A steamed interior stays cleaner longer than a wiped interior because the contamination reservoir has actually been removed.
