Mission Hills Vehicles Are Detailed By the Owner, Not Dispatched to a Crew
Mission Hills is one of the wealthiest cities in Kansas. The homes on Mission Hills Road, Indian Hills Drive, and the private streets bordering the country club are maintained to a standard that reflects that.
I am not a shop with rotating employees and a six-car lineup. I am one person, Joe Young, who shows up, does the work himself, and does not leave until the vehicle reflects a standard he would be comfortable putting his name on publicly.
When I detail a Porsche Cayenne GTS or a Range Rover Sport in Mission Hills, the process is the same I use on every vehicle. No shortcuts for any vehicle, no premium pricing for "exotic" cars.
The Specific Detail Problems Mission Hills Vehicles Have
Most Mission Hills properties have garages, which protects vehicles from precipitation and direct sunlight. But garage storage does not protect against the contamination sources that accumulate on every vehicle regardless of where it's parked: brake dust from high-performance rotors, road film from Johnson Drive and Mission Hills Road, and organic contamination from the mature tree canopy over the private streets.
High-performance brake dust. Porsche, BMW M-series, Mercedes AMG, and Range Rover vehicles running sport or performance brake compounds produce fine iron particle dust that is more aggressive than standard brake dust.
Contamination on infrequently-driven vehicles. A vehicle that sits in a garage for weeks between drives accumulates a different kind of problem, fine particulate settling, humidity cycling that affects rubber trim and seals, and the slow oxidation of protection products applied at the last detail.
European leather and interior materials. Bentley, Rolls-Royce, and high-end Mercedes interiors use full-grain leather that is softer and more porous than mass-market leather.
What a Mission Hills Detail Appointment Actually Looks Like
I text when I'm 20 minutes out. I pull into your driveway with my 2017 Hyundai Accent, fully built out with the McCulloch 212°F steam cleaner, RIDGID shop vac, California Air compressor, RYOBI pressure washer, and all chemistry organized and accessible.
For a Full Premier Detail: interior first, full vacuum including seat rails and trunk floor, compressor blow-out of every crevice, second vacuum pass, 212°F steam on all surfaces including door jambs and steering column, extraction of carpets and upholstery, plastics dressed and wiped, leather conditioned, glass streak-free. Then exterior: Dark Fury iron decon on paint and wheels, dwell, rinse.
I do not rush Mission Hills appointments. I do not have a schedule so packed that I cut corners at 4pm.
Mission Hills Pricing, Flat Rate, No Travel Fees, No "Luxury Vehicle Surcharge"
I do not charge extra because your car is expensive. The pricing is the same whether it's a Camry or a Cayenne.
- Interior Reset, $225 sedan / $275 SUV or truck, Full vacuum, compressor crevice blow-out, 212°F steam all surfaces, extraction, plastics dressed, leather conditioned, glass streak-free.
