The Streets Here Present a Specific Exterior Challenge
The city sits directly east of Johnson Drive and Mission Road, both of which carry high brake-dust-generating traffic. Any vehicle regularly driving these corridors accumulates ferrous iron contamination on the paint at an accelerated rate compared to vehicles that primarily drive surface streets.
Add the tree canopy effect and you get paint that looks fine to the naked eye but feels rough when touched and shows water spotting within 48 hours of a wash. That's not the car's age, that's the surface condition.
